Nanti Kita Cerita Tentang Hari Ini (NKCTHI) is an
Indonesian movie that was released on 2 January this year. This movie directed
by Angga Dwimas Sasongko and adapted from a book by Marcella FP with the same
title. Not inferior to the book, the movie was also welcomed very well by the
public. Awan, Aurora, Angkasa, Kale, Narendra, and Ajeng are the main
characters in this movie were played by Rachel Amanda, Sheila Dara Aisha, Rio
Dewanto, Ardhito Pramono, Donny Damara, and Susan Bachtiar.
This movie tells the story of three siblings, namely,
Angkasa (eldest, male), Aurora (middle, female), and Awan (youngest, female)
who lived in families that looked happy. In fact, the family has trauma covered
by the father to make family members happy. The plot in this movie is very
unbelievable.
One dialogue that most memorable for me is when Kale
said and wrote in Awan's hand that had been cracked in an accident. He said,
“Sabar, satu persatu” or in English, “Patience, one by one”. When Awan’s
friends wrote encouraging words for Awan. Instead, Kale said and writes
reminder words that patience is the key to all problems that come into our lives.
On a scale of 1-5, I would give 4 stars to this movie. This rating tells that this movie is more than worth watching. I recommend this movie to watch, because almost all the stories in this movie are very related to our daily lives, about falling, getting up, and holding on. This movie teaches us that life cannot be relied on by others, we have to work on it ourselves, make our own decisions, and create our own happiness. The movie also teaches us to accept reality and not cover wounds by pretending to be happy. In my opinion, this movie is worth watching for those aged 17 and over, because the problems in this movie are mostly experienced by those aged 17 years and over, a time when someone is looking for an identity. For those who haven’t had time to watch this movie while playing in theaters, you can still watch it on Netflix.
